A complete venue transformation for a Sangeet celebration, designed around the poetic and immersive concept of a “Starry Night.” The design narrative focused on dissolving the spatial boundaries of a typical event hall, replacing them with a dynamic, atmospheric environment.
The space was reimagined as a celestial dreamscape using a dark, layered palette and a carefully mapped lighting scheme. Walls, ceiling, and lighting elements were treated as active participants in the storytelling — not merely surfaces or fixtures, but mediums of emotion and depth.
All four walls were wrapped in pleated dark-toned fabric, creating a neutral yet immersive backdrop. The material absorbed ambient light and offered a textured canvas for lighting projection, adding depth and visual rhythm to the envelope.
Embedded micro-LEDs, pinpoint uplights, and floating star fixtures were used to simulate a night sky. The lighting layout was asymmetrical and layered at multiple depths, mimicking constellations and creating a sense of vastness within the enclosed space.
A star-like canopy installation, composed of suspended reflective shapes and minimal wireframe structures, floated above the dance floor. It introduced verticality and encouraged upward movement in visual engagement, reinforcing the thematic illusion.
Lightweight, fire-retardant fabrics and modular structural systems ensured ease of installation while maintaining design integrity. The modular grid system also allowed pre-mapping of lighting, minimizing on-site coordination challenges.
The overall experience blurred the lines between built form and atmospheric design. As guests entered, they were enveloped in a twilight-like ambiance — with soft darkness, glimmering lights, and rhythmic fabric movement working in harmony to evoke awe, emotion, and celebration.
