This project represents the architectural design of a government-funded school infrastructure initiative under the Ministry of Social Development (MoSD), Province Government, Nepal. Commissioned by MoSD Kailali, the development focuses on enhancing educational facilities through a comprehensive master plan, conceptual design, structural detailing, and cost estimation. The project demanded close coordination with the School Management Committee and MoSD throughout the design process to ensure alignment with functional and educational goals.
Architecturally, the school block is conceived with a clean, contemporary design language that prioritizes functionality, climate responsiveness, and user comfort. The façade features a harmonious composition of neutral-toned plaster and exposed brick textures, balanced by horizontal bands that emphasize structural rhythm. Deep-set windows provide natural light and ventilation, while vertical voids and overhangs break the massing and improve climatic performance. The form is grounded, linear, and modular—reflecting institutional clarity and allowing for phased development if required. This design approach not only addresses current academic infrastructure needs but also creates a welcoming, modern educational environment that encourages learning and interaction.
